Service Awards
Although students provide service and volunteer with no intent to receive recognition or compensation, SIU enjoys recognizing students and organizations for exceptional commitment and dedication.
Delyte Morris Award
Each spring this award honors a student or student organization that demonstrates excellence and commitment to community service. The award celebrates the legacy and vision of the late university president Delyte Morris who believed that service is at the heart of higher education. Community partners who collaborate with the Center for Service-Learning and Volunteerism may submit nominations for the award.
Environmental Ambassador Award
The Sustainability Office recognizes students who participate in at least 30 hours of environment-related service in an academic year with the Environmental Ambassador Award, sponsored by the Sustainability Council and awarded by the Chancellor. See the website for details.
