The CSLV invites graduate students to this three-part training on service-learning.
Simply put: Service-learning is when instructors use community service to teach course concepts. It allows students to build skills and understanding beyond the classroom, and it helps them become engaged members of their communities.
Participants will choose a course and bring a syllabus to redevelop with service-learning as a key teaching tool. Please note: if you do not have the authority to actually use the new syllabus in class, that is ok. This is an opportunity for professional development even if you can't put the syllabus changes into practice.
